Once you have applied to the program of your choice - Radio, Television or Journalism, you will be required to write an entrance exam. You must “apply” first.
Once the Admissions Department
has processed your exam they will send you a letter with a choice of exam
dates. You will be required to phone and register
(604 432-8863)
to write the exam on the date of
your choice. The exam starts precisely at
The exam is a general knowledge exam, mostly multiple choice. It consists of: spelling, grammar, geography, current events and a basic computer portion. There is also an essay question portion. Bring the letter you received from the Admissions Department. The letter has your student number written on it and you will need that number for the exam.
If you live
outside the
Lower Mainland arrangements can be made to have the exam sent to you.
In order to accommodate your request we ask that you find someone to
administer the exam for you. This administrator can be a
teacher, counsellor, manager of a company, etc. The information that Jan Wadsworth requires to enable her to send out the exam is:
